Sofia Coppola & Thomas Mars? Wedding In Italy

Congratulations to Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars! The two were married Saturday in Bernada, Italy, in front of 80 family and friends. George Lucas was among the star studded guests to witness the nuptials. The couple, along with their daughters, were spotted in the Italian town earlier this week, ahead of their wedding on Saturday. Her gown? A beautiful lavender number designed just for her by Azzedine Alaïa. Simple, yet elegant. Her husband wore a dark blue suit and looked quite handsome! Leonardo Chiruzzi, the mayor of Bernalda, was the officiant and told the Associated Press, “Everything went well. It was simple, calm, in the garden.” The Palazzo Margherita was the setting for their ceremony, the historic property turned into a luxurious family villa owned by her father, famed director Francis Ford Coppola. He, of course, walked his only daughter down the aisle. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in their honor where the menu included roast pork, fish, pasta and served with wine made from the family’s farm. A vanilla cake decorated with white flowers finished off guests’ palates.
