After being on the fence for months, Chad Michael Murray has decided for the sake of the fans he will reprise his role as the long lost Lucas Scott in One Tree Hill’s final run on the CW Network. Tweeting the surprising news, the thirty year old star, who left OTH back in 2009, revealed to fans Monday via Twitter: “The secrets out;) Im excited 2 say that ‘Luke’ will b reuniting with the amazing OTH cast, Producers & Crew 4 an ep! This is 4 u great fans.” The last time viewers caught a glimpse of Murray was at the end of season 6 when he departed the series alongside his on-screen wife Hilarie Burton, who played the character Peyton Sawyer, and his daughter. Chad Michael Murray’s return will only be for one episode of the short season, that is scheduled to debut in the spring of 2012, but that should be enough for followers who didn’t foresee Michael Murray making a return at all.
