Why Rihanna Skipped BFF Katy Perry's Wedding

Rihanna threw her good pal Katy Perry a rockin' bachelorette party in Las Vegas last month, and was even rumored to be standing up for the "Teenage Dream" singer as she married Russell Brand this past weekend in India. So why was RiRi a no-show at the couple's lavish nups in India? Well, despite the fact that Rihanna and boyfriend Matt Kemp were on the guest list and planned on making the trip, the pop star's work schedule reportedly prevented her from seeing her BFF tie the knot. Calling it "a last-minute change of plans," a source close to Kemp told E! News the decision not to attend Perry and Brand's festivities was sudden. "He was telling me (last) Saturday that he was leaving the country for a week with Rihanna," the source explains. "But then on Tuesday, he told me they weren't going." A rep for Rihanna had no comment as to why she wasn't there to see her friend walk down the aisle, but it certainly sounds like she missed a good party. The wedding weekend was filled with music performances and safaris -- though it seems it was a little more tame than previously reported. Rumors flew Monday that the wedding party was under investigation for disobeying noise ordinances, but sources tell People.com that those claims are completely false. Hmmm.
