Christina Aguilera Steps Out with New Love Interest

In her upcoming movie, Burlesque, Christina Aguilera bares a lot of skin -- but it seems there is one thing she wants to keep covered up: her new relationship! People reports that Aguilera, 29 -- who recently filed for divorce from her husband of nearly five years, Jordan Bratman -- was spotted out and about with her rumored new beau. The pop diva was snapped by photographers with Matthew D. Rutler, a set assistant from Burlesque, on Friday night when they were allegedly on a double date with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. "It's not serious yet, but it's something she is exploring and finding comfort in," a friend of Aguilera's spilled to People. "It's new and she’s taking it day by day. She and Jordan were having problems for a long time. What kept them together is their love for their son. She met (Matthew) on set and, during a difficult time, leaned on him as a friend. After she and Jordan separated, the friendship turned romantic." In the wake of her split, Aguilera said she had "tears and sadness" over the end of her relationship with Bratman, 33. "It’s impossible to redefine yourself and your life overnight," the Grammy winner told Redbook. "Thankfully, I have my mom and a small group of close friends who are there for me 24/7 and whom I can trust and depend on." However, Aguilera (who was also previously rumored to be dating friend Samantha Ronson, according to Jezebel) is still making her son, 2-year-old Max her biggest priority. "Being a great mom to Max is the most important thing in her life," the source said.
