Movie Review: ?The Iron Lady?
Yesterday was a fun and productive day for me … I saw my last movie of 2011 and then I attended my last concert of 2011. The movie was The Iron Lady, starring Meryl Streep … the concert was Matthew Sweet at the Echoplex performing his 1991 album Girlfriend in full. ‘Twas a great day Source: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/pinkisthenewblog/~3/Sbk1v2dmTSU/Danica Patrick

VOTE! Would You Date Ryan Gosling or Prince William?
Both Prince William and Ryan Gosling have had a lot to celebrate in 2011! The royal made a memorable trip down the aisle with Kate Middleton, and the other ... well, what hasn’t he done? From blockbusters to breaking up street fights, the actor has been everywhere (except, to fans' chagrin, nabbing People’s Sexiest Man honor).Source: http://www.ivillage.com/vote-who-would-you-rather-date-ryan-gosling-or-prince-william/1-a-414452?dst=iv%3AiVillage%3Avote-who-would-you-rather-date-ryan-gosling-or-prince-william-414452Hilary Swank

'Twilight,' Nicki Minaj On 2012 Pop-Culture Wish List
Fans also tell MTV News they're looking forward to 'Dark Knight Rises' and hoping for new music from Lil Wayne.By James Montgomery Nicki Minaj Photo: Getty Images As the last few hours of this glorious, Adele-ified year disappear, MTV News is turning its attention to the next 12 months, which promise to be full of big-time blockbuster films ("Avengers," "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Hunger Games") and even bigger-time celebrity events (Beyoncé and Jay-Z's baby, Britney's betrothal, Robert Pattinson doing something) — oh yeah, and there's also going to be a presidential election and the London Olympics and, potentially, the end of the world as we know it. So, basically, 2012 is totally going to smoke 2011. But with so much to look forward to, what will be the event of the year? Well, we decided to take to the streets of New York's Times Square, where the big shiny ball will drop at the stroke of midnight, to find out what's topping your New Year's wish list. "I'm most looking forward to hopefully seeing a Nicki Minaj tour," Adya Goswami said. Alison Grant added, "My favorite is Lil Wayne, so I hope he puts something out again." Of course, while we got plenty of folks clamoring for new music, we heard from even more who couldn't wait to check out the year's biggest movies — and from the sound of things, 2012 might very well be the year of the bat. Or the vampire. "The new Batman movie coming out should be an awesome movie," Nick Stuart said. Haley Race shared, "I'm really excited for the next 'Twilight' movie. I'm really a big fan. I've read the books like 40 times, each of them!" And while "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" seem like sure bets, there are some New Year's wishes that may not come true in 2012. After all, you can't get everything you want. " 'How to Make it in America': If that show gets put back on the air, that would be great," Steve Borrebach said. Don't miss MTV's "NYE in NYC 2012," kicking off at 11 p.m. ET/PT (10 Central) tonight, New Year's Eve. Mac Miller Brings 'Party' To 'NYE In NYC 2012'
During Saturday night's live MTV special, MC re-creates '80s -inspired 'Party on Fifth Ave' video.By James Dinh Mac Miller (file) Photo: Getty Images NEW YORK — Underground-turned-chart topping MC Mac Miller was treated quite nicely by 2011, and he ended the year on a high note when he served up a performance of "Party on Fifth Ave" during MTV's "NYE in NYC 2012" on Saturday night. To re-create the tune's '80s-inspired clip, Miller arrived on set with high energy and never ceased his interaction with the audience. Dressed in a vintage jacket, tuxedo shirt and backward cap, the Pittsburgh rapper bounced alongside his crew of appropriately dressed friends and dancers in front of the audience as he spit the DJ Mark the 45 King-sampling tune. "There's a party on Fifth Ave., hit me if you try'n a go/ I can be there in like 20/ I'mma honk it and come runnin', 'cause we gotta hit the road/ Make you sure you got a clean shirt, clean pants, new shoes/ Or just hitch a ride there, you choose," he rapped in front of the jumping crowd. MTV News spoke with the MC backstage during the event, where he shared his thoughts on the big night. "It's funny because, in the moment, it just feels like another day at work," the MC told us. "This is what I do for a living. But then, in actuality, stepping back and thinking about it, performing live on MTV for the News Year's Eve with millions of people watching is pretty crazy." Asked why he chose to recreate the clip, Miller explained, "I just think it's a funny video, and I wanted to do something more than just stand up there and rap or something. We wanted to do something funky, and I wanted to keep all my homeys involved — get their faces on national TV." Mac wasn't the only performer to rock out until 2012 as Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, J. Cole and Jason Derülo also performed during the all-star Times Square event. Miller's performance of "Fifth Ave" ends a rather eventful year for the rapper, during which he topped the Billboard albums chart with his debut album, Blue Slide Park. Beyonce Talks Pregnancy Cravings on '20/20'1675198
Singer says people keep trying to give her hot sauce and pickles. By Beyoncé Photo: ABC Root Beer, chicken wings, pickle juice, donuts, mac and cheese. Pregnant women have all kinds of odd cravings, but in an interview slated to air on Friday night on "20/20," Beyoncé told interviewer Katie Couric that she hasn't had those typical late-night urges during her pregnancy. "Not really anything crazy," B told Couric. "I've read that I like ketchup on everything," she added, saying that the rumor is not true. And when Couric tried to confirm other Internet whispers about what the singer is allegedly making hubby Jay-Z rush out to the corner bodega for at 2 in the morning, Beyoncé said the wildest one is also not true. "I also read that you like ice cream with hot chili sauce," Couric said. "Yeah, that's very strange," responded Beyoncé, who was dressed in flowing purple pants with a white pattern, a black leather jacket and black pregnancy top with a subtle blue design. "Is that true?" Couric pressed. "No it is not. I was on a plane and the flight attendant came and was like, 'I have your hot sauce and pickles and bananas.' I was like, 'That is absolutely disgusting, what are you doing?' He's like, 'I read it on the Internet.' " When Couric asked the question everyone wants to know, whether she should get the singer a pink or blue baby gift, Beyoncé smiled and put her finger up to her mouth and gave a coy, "hmmm." In another segment, Couric and Beyoncé take a stroll past New York's Roseland Ballroom, where the pop icon played the four shows earlier this year that became the subject of her just-released "Live at Roseland" DVD
. "When I was here it was raining and there were thousands of people in their coats and umbrellas waiting outside for hours," she said of the summertime shows. "Which always feels a little overwhelming because I'm like, 'I hope I give them enough.' But everyone had a great time." video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player Related Artists Beyoncé Source:
